Your privacy at sune
1. In short
sune is built to be used fully anonymously. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we have no way whatsoever to see who you are.
Your data is used only to make the app work for you: to save your progress and tailor the programme to you. We sell nothing, we show no ads and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. No data that identifies you
When you start, the app automatically creates an anonymous account with a random, meaningless number. There is no name, email or phone number attached to it.
Because the account is anonymous, we cannot link data to a person.
3. What we do keep
To your anonymous account we link only what is needed to make the app work:
• Your answers from the intake (age group, how long it has been going on, your goal and your hardest moments).
• Your progress in the programme: which lessons and exercises you did, your check-ins, how strong you rated your urges, and your recovery score.
• Notes you write yourself during exercises and reflections. These stay private and are meant for you alone.
• Your settings, such as whether notifications and the lock are switched on.
4. Where your data is kept
Your data is stored securely with Supabase, on servers in Frankfurt (Germany), within the European Union. It does not leave the EU/EEA for storage.
5. Payments
You buy a subscription through your device's official app store: the Apple App Store on an iPhone or iPad, or Google Play on an Android device. The payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see or receive your payment details (such as your card number).
To know whether you have an active subscription or trial, we use RevenueCat. RevenueCat only receives your subscription status, linked to an app identifier, not to your name.
6. Lock and notifications
If you lock sune with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, that stays entirely on your phone. We never store your face, fingerprint or passcode anywhere.
Daily reminders are notifications that your phone schedules itself. No notification goes through our servers, and the notification shows only the word “sune”.
7. Your recovery code
With a recovery code you can retrieve your progress on a new device. Only you know that code. We do not keep the code itself in readable form and cannot access your progress without your code.
8. Who we share data with
Only with the parties needed to make the app work, as processors on our behalf:
• Supabase, for storing your progress (EU).
• Apple, for handling your subscription.
• RevenueCat, for keeping track of your subscription status.
We never sell your data and we use no advertising or tracking networks.
9. Keeping and deleting
We keep your data for as long as you use the app. You can permanently delete everything at any time via You → “Erase all my data”. That immediately removes both your progress and your anonymous account.
A subscription is cancelled separately through your Apple account; erasing your data does not automatically stop a running subscription.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data. Because the app is anonymous, the easiest way to arrange deletion is yourself, with the erase button in the app.
If you have a question about privacy, please get in touch at help@suneapp.com.
11. Security
Your data is sent and stored encrypted, and is protected by access rules so that only your own account can reach it.
12. Community (Together)
In the Together tab you can ask and answer questions anonymously. What you post there is visible to other users of the app. So never post your name, contact details or other identifiable information there.
Contributions are separate from your intake and progress and contain no personal data about you. You can report any contribution or hide a person; with enough reports we hide a contribution automatically. We have no tolerance for offensive or hurtful content. If you erase your account, we also delete all your questions and answers.
13. Adults only
sune is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not aimed at children.
14. Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top and show the new version in the app.
